Hi! My name is Valeriia.

Art pseudonym - Lera Sega.
Based in Moscow.
I have been developing independently and working as an artist under my own brand since 2019, prior to that, worked in fashion and as a graphic designer.

I'm Inspired by Japanese minimalism, calligraphy, Zen Buddhism, Mark Rothko, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gerhard Richter.

I paint abstract paintings mainly in monochrome, because more interested in texture and techniques, a combination of different textures, how materials interact with each other, rather than color. With my abstraction, I try to convey emotions and my deep esoteric experience. In my work I study this process, a lot of my paintings are related to energy, feelings, inner state. I write with my soul. Before starting a new picture, I meditat, turn on the music, candles, this is a ritual that allows me to focus on my inner state. I plunge a little into a trance in myself and start painting, what appears on the canvas is pure improvisation and expression. I write from my heart and it always means LOVE. it is an unconditional love of humanity, nature, the universe - it is energy that is transmitted and circulated. I do this with a strong energy that is felt in every picture of me.

Мой псевдоним - Лера Сега.

Живу в Москве.

Я развиваюсь самостоятельно и работаю художником под собственным брендом с 2019 года, до этого работала в сфере моды и графическим дизайнером.

Меня вдохновляют: японский минимализм, каллиграфия, дзен-буддизм, Марк Ротко, Жан-Мишель Баския, Герхард Рихтер.

Я пишу абстрактные картины в основном монохромно, потому что больше интересуюсь текстурой и техниками, сочетанием различных текстур, тем, как материалы взаимодействуют друг с другом, а не цветом. С помощью своей абстракции я пытаюсь передать эмоции и свой глубокий эзотерический опыт. В своей работе я изучаю этот процесс, многие мои картины связаны с энергией, чувствами, внутренним состоянием. Я пишу своей душой. Перед началом новой картины я медитирую, включаю музыку, свечи, это ритуал, который позволяет мне сосредоточиться на своем внутреннем состоянии. Я погружаюсь немного в транс внутри себя и начинаю рисовать, то, что появляется на холсте, - это чистая импровизация и экспрессия.
